"I attended Geoff’s 'night time walk event' and was really glad that I did. While I am fairly competent with the technical side of photography, the creative side I am less confident with. Having explained this on the survey Geoff does before the event, Geoff came prepared and focused on showing me what to look for in urban landscapes, how to visualise the final image, how to compose and shoot it and finally how to edit it - exactly what I was looking for. Often it’s the little things that make a difference though and I was impressed by how Geoff had taken the time to research the menu system on my particular make / model of camera so he could show me how to set it up for night-time photography. “I recently had the pleasure of doing a photo walk with Geoff and I have to say it was a brilliant experience. It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned photographer or a complete novice and just embarking on photography as a hobby, I guarantee you will learn a lot from going out with Geoff and really enjoy the session. 

Geoff is really easy to get on with and instantly makes you feel at ease. He explains everything and helps and advises you on how to compose the perfect shot with the correct camera settings. 

You also get an editing session afterwards to revisit the images you have taken and Geoff suggests the best crop/ edits for a selection of your shots. This session is via zoom / FaceTime. I learnt so much from the editing session as I was a complete novice when I came to editing images in Lightroom, after the session I am now confidently editing photos, so in my opinion the editing session alone is invaluable and makes the cost of the photo walk really good value for money. 

I highly recommend  booking a session with Geoff, his enthusiasm for photography and his eye for detail are second to none. I enjoyed the session so much I am booking another photography walk with Geoff”.

"My wife and I booked ourselves on to Geoff's 3 hour daytime walk starting with Geoff meeting us outside our hotel at The Albert Dock.  Not only did we both have differing levels of photography experience we were also using different makes of cameras (Fuji x100f & Canon 2000D), but Geoff had researched both and was able to get us started with some excellent technical advice that helped us understand the cameras settings.  Geoff concentrated on demonstrating the elements of composition including using the manual aspects of the cameras (Aperture, Shutter speed & ISO) that really helped us to understand how to compose an image better.  As well as Photography advice, Geoff provided some fascinating historical information for the different buildings and architecture that made the walk even more interesting.  Geoff followed up the walk with an on-line 2 hour session demonstrating how to edit our photographs using Lightroom which I particularly found really beneficial.  Geoff has excellent communication skills, being able to explain complex information in very easy to understand terms.  I would thoroughly recommend Geoff's walks for any level of photographer and we look forward to returning to Liverpool for a night time walk." - Andy and Marian French

"Our Liverpool photography walk for two with Geoff was purchased for me as a birthday present and what a great gift it turned out to be. Geoff met us, on time, at the agreed location and after brief introductions outlined the plans for the afternoon. Although we have some experience of photography it was helpful to be reintroduced to the 3 main aspects of a good image - aperture, shutter speed and ISO - and the rule of thirds for a good composition. We then spent the next 3 hours visiting various spots across the city/docks area. At each location Geoff explained why the spot was chosen and helped us to take a number of shots at each. We ended up at the Albert Dock at dusk which enabled us to get some final shots, in low light, as the city’s lights were starting to appear. The time went by very quickly. The session was both informative and fun and Geoff was very patient and methodical. The practical session was followed by a Lightroom editing session - done via zoom - which were able to record. We had sent Geoff some of our RAW and JPEG files ahead of this session. The actual day itself had been grey with a very flat colourless sky but Geoff was able to use editing to extract previously unseen detail to show us what can be achieved from what may have seemed like a pretty uninteresting image. Both the walk and the editing session were a real treat and we both fully recommend giving it a try."
